Citizens of 66 countries are exempted from the valid visa requirement when entering the country and staying for three months or less. While citizens of some countries are granted visa on arrival, the citizens of a select group of countries need a visa before arrival.
Check with Tanzania’s consular to know which category your native country belongs to but no matter what we recommend you obtain your visa prior to departing your home country as this will ensure that you are able to begin your safari or travels without delay in case of any passport hitches.
A passport valid for a minimum of six months beyond visa issuance and/or date of entry, and at least one blank visa page is required. Visitors who enter on visas must present a roundtrip ticket and demonstrate they have sufficient funds for their stay.
Single entry or tourists visas are valid for three months from the date of issue. Multiple visas have a validity of 6-12months. Transit visas to Tanzania can only be obtained at the point of entry. You are encouraged to apply for an online visa as it should speed up your arrivals process
